English Historic Labyrinths Tour
Available on request
A unique opportunity to visit England's historic turf labyrinths, see the best of the unusual Victorian church and cathedral labyrinths, and visit one of the finest hedge mazes in England.
With various rendezvous options, we will spend several nights in the south of England in order to visit the atmospheric turf labyrinths at Breamore and Winchester on the edge of the New Forest, not far from Salisbury Plain. With options to visit Stonehenge or the monuments around Avebury, there is also a splendid Victorian church labyrinth nearby and the remarkable Watts Chapel is always on our schedule for this journey.
Travelling northward to central and eastern England, we may stop at Somerton, to see the unique Troytown turf labyrinth, en route to the beautifully preserved turf labyrinth at Wing. From here we will visit the labyrinth on the village green at Hilton and the pavement labyrinth in Ely Cathedral, where we you will have the chance to walk on the roof of the cathedral -
An epic labyrinthine journey through the scenic English countryside, that we recommend you consider taking at its springtime best.
